Here is a 6-week calendar for The Hair Museum Certification Program
With classes for both the Hair Growth Specialist and Diverse Texture Specialist certifications. Each Monday will feature one class from each program, with a morning and an afternoon session.
Classes can be taken individually or as part of the full certification.

Week 1
Morning Class (Hair Growth Specialist):
10 Secrets to grow hair class-Recognizing & Repairing Damage + Cutting & Shaping Techniques Class
This comprehensive class combines concepts from 10 Secrets to Growing a Black Woman’s Hair with advanced cutting and damage-repair techniques.
Damage Identification: Recognize chemical, heat, and mechanical damage.
Repair & Restore: Perform restorative treatments and growth-promoting trims like dusting.
Cutting Techniques: Enhance texture and promote growth with shaping methods tailored to natural hair.
Client Education: Teach clients how to maintain healthy hair at home for long-term growth and care.
Learn to identify signs of damage, such as split ends and over-processing, and perform restorative treatments.
Evening Class (Diverse Texture Specialist):
Guide to Hair Textures Class
Business Development Through Diversity
This class provides an in-depth exploration of the Guide to Textures book, focusing on understanding and working with straight, wavy, curly, and coily hair.
Week 2
Morning Class (Hair Growth Specialist):
Advanced 10 second Blowdrying & Silk Press
Learn the 10-Second Blowdry and silk press methods on all hair textures and using all brushes all textures.
Afternoon Class (Diverse Texture Specialist):
Updo Styling Techniques
Techniques for creating tension-free styles that promote growth, including ponytails and an updo with low bun.
Week 3
Morning Class (Hair Growth Specialist):
10 second Blowdry & Silkpress Testout
Learn to safely use heat tools like blowdryers and
flatirons to protect hair health
Test out on 10 second Blowdry with All textures & Brushes
Afternoon Class (Diverse Texture Specialist):
Cezanne Express Keratin Treatment Certification
Get certified in applying Cezanne treatments, a formaldehyde-free smoothing system.
Week 4
Morning Class (Hair Growth Specialist):
Beaded Extensions for Growth
Learn bead-based and sew-in techniques designed to encourage hair growth.
Afternoon Class (Diverse Texture Specialist):
Braided Sew-in Extensions Techniques
Master the art of tension-free, braid-based sew-ins for secure and natural-looking styles.
Week 5
Morning Class (Hair Growth Specialist):
Cezanne Classic Keratin Treatment Certification
Focus on using Cezanne as a restorative service for damaged hair.
Afternoon Class (Diverse Texture Specialist):
Cezanne Treatment Test-Out Class
Model Test-Out
Perform the Cezanne Classic or Cezanne Express treatment on a live model.
Demonstrate proper application techniques, including sectioning, product application, and heat sealing.
Week 6
Morning Class (Hair Growth Specialist:
Building Your Books, Cezanne, & Silk Press Techniques
The ability to create a service menu that drives bookings and repeat business.
Confidence in upselling high-value services like Cezanne to silk press clients.
Strategies to pre-book clients on schedules that maximize their hair health and salon visits.
Skills to grow your clientele while increasing revenue through consistent bookings.
Learn to create a service menu and attract repeat clients with high-demand services.
Evening Class (Diverse Texture Specialist):
Wet & Protective Styling
Master protective styles like two-strand twists, rope twists, braiding, and Bantu knots.

Certificates Awarded: At the end of the 6-week program, stylists receive their certification in either Hair Growth Specialist or Diverse Texture Specialist (or both if all classes are completed).
Individual Classes: Stylists can choose to attend specific classes as standalone.
